"Feathering" is a Facet feature that automatically improves the boundary quality of masks.

When "Refine Edges" is enabled, Facet will attempt to make small changes to the mask such that it aligns with high contrast boundaries. The width and extent of this effect can be controlled with the "Feather Radius".

When "Refine Edges" is disabled, the "Feather Radius" acts as a blur, softening the mask boundary.
